Cancellation Policy
A cancellation less than 24 hours before your appointment is charged at the full session fee. In addition, your session will be considered a late cancellation and incur a fee if you are 15+ minutes late to the scheduled start time. The client is responsible and agrees to pay the full fee. However, I recognize that emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances may occur and sometimes you are unable to provide 24 hours' notice. The option to have a phone session is available, in situations where appropriate, to keep the appointment and avoid the late cancellation charge.
Payment Information
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept cash, credit cards, and Health Savings Cards. I also accept several insurances, which are billed through Alma. If you have a copayment, you will be able to pay this directly through an invoice you receive through Alma. For late cancellation fees, you will receive an invoice through SimplePractice and the fee will be charged to the credit card you have on file through SimplePractice. For those insurances for which I am an out-of-network provider, I can provide a superbill upon request.
Good Faith Estimate - Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of Expected Charges
Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services (Good Faith Estimate). Self-pay clients will be provided a GFE at least one day prior to their session with their rate for therapy. The self-pay rate is noted in Renewed Resiliency Counseling's policy practices document that clients are provided before starting therapy. These rates are also available in the Pricing and FAQs section of this website.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
